Dissertation Research: Research in the area of Information technology studying the new model called Unified Theory
of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT). UTAUT was developed by Venkatesh, Morris, Davis & Davis (2003) by viewing eight models (TAM, TAM2, C-TAM, TPB, MM, MPCU, IDT and SCT) to present a unified view. My dissertation utilized the constructs of UTAUT, Performance Expectancy, Effort Expectancy and Social Influence to focus on the moderating variables of Age, Gender, and Experience. The research examined another construct, Attitude toward Using Technology, and a new moderating variable referred to as Communication Technology to address the following question. What are the effects of age, gender, experience and communication technology on behavioral intentions and use of Information Technology (IT)? I studied the Jenzabar Software System at an Academic Institution.
